“’Boy Tears’ celebrates the joy in finding strength against systems that have oppressed us for so long. It touches on behaviours of individuals who continue to attack us, and how our ‘eyes have dried’ in reference to the tables turning. The sphere in which these moments exist are heavily online on social media giants that enable oppressive groups to congregate and spread hate. We are strong and we will continue to lift each other up and give strength to one another to fight these systems, and we’ll live vivaciously while we do it.”
